We’ve a new free exhibition at the British Museum opening today – Shakespeare’s money and medals – this is a small exhibition in room 69a – a taster in a way to the bigger blockbuster British Museum event – Shakespeare: staging the world which starts on 19th July.  Come to the exhibition and find out what an Elizabethan playgoer paid to come to the Theatre.

This little show has arrived in time for the launch of our new series of Shakespeare in London walks.   Why not combine a visit to the British Museum with one of our walks?   We’re launching on the 23rd April (Shakespeare’s traditional birthday) and you can pick up our Act 1 walk Shakespeare in Shoreditch at 10:30 (and again at 10:45) or the Act2 walk Shakespeare on Bankside at 11:00 from Southwark Cathedral.  We are also running more of the Act 2 Shakespeare on Bankside walks in the afternoon, around 16:00 timed to start after the end of the free Celebrating Shakespeare and Dickens hosted by Rick Jones, Jane Jones and Arthur Smith at Southwark Cathedral starting at 14:30 on the 23rd.

We plan on running one or more of these walks every Saturday for the next three months – so why not try and do all three linked walks !  Do book places on these walks.
