An advent calendar of our favourite London doors

December is upon us, so we thought it would be a nice idea to put our own spin on the tradition of the advent calendar.

Advent calendars are all about doors, so in keeping with that doors theme, we asked our guides to come up with a selection of their favourite London doors and we will be sharing one with you on our blog every day between the 1st and 24th December.

The fun and excitement of the advent calendar we all remember from our childhood is the anticipation of what might be behind the door just as you open it.

So, rather than just describe them straight off, we’ll publish a little teaser pic with a clue to what/where the door is and you can have a go at guessing it before the reveal.

We won’t keep you in suspense for long, though, as a simple click on the teaser pic will reveal the full picture of the door and a little story behind it.

Each door featured appears on one or more of our guides’ tours, so we will also give you a link to those so you can go along yourself to find out more if you wish.
