Brian is a City of London Guide. He also guides at the Queens House, Greenwich, part of the National Maritime Museum; Somerset House; and at Firepower, The Museum of the Royal Artillery. He also leads a programme of London Walks for the Bromley branch of the University of the Third Age.
For ten years of his life, Brian was a London cab driver, and as a result knows all the nooks and crannies of the City of London and the City of Westminster. He uses that knowledge to lead walks that will show you both the well known sights, but also some surprises – even to Londoners. He invites you to join him to enjoy this wonderful city.
Brians walk portfolio includes:
- Knightsbridge highlights- from bustling Hyde Park Corner, back through 150 years of history and architecture, past Harrods (exterior) via film and television locations to Cultural South Kensington
- The Financial City of London
- Royal Connections in the City of London
Feedback from clients includes:
The Knightsbridge Mews walk is to be highly recommended. A delightful tour led by Brian, a charming and amusing host. Best done in the summer months when the window boxes and gardens are at their best. Some wonderful pubs to discover along the way and keep your eyes peeled for a stag, a sheep and a couple of steely-eyed owls!!
We really enjoyed the walk today. Saw and learnt about many places that were, as Londoners, a new surprise for us.
The Knightsbridge walk was delightful. Having worked in various parts of Knightsbridge for many years, I was amazed to find there were so many hidden corners that I had never explored before. Well done, Brian, for opening my eyes to charming mews with quirky pubs. I look forward to further walks with such a knowledgeable and charming guide.
