Geoff came into guiding after a career as a research scientist specialising in environmental analytical chemistry. He is a London Blue Badge Guide with a wealth of experience guiding
visitors to this country around London’s “must see” places – Westminster Abbey, British Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral and many more. He also guides in popular tourist places outside
London – Windsor Castle, Hampton Court, Stonehenge, Oxford, Bath etc. For details please visit Heritage Tours of London.
In the quieter winter months Geoff writes. He has written five books including “London’s Docklands, An Illustrated Guide”; “London’s Industrial Heritage”- the first book of its kind on this subject – and has co-authored the award winning “The Story of Bankside”. He is currently working on a book about England’s Anglo-Saxon heritage.
He is a member of the Association of Professional Tourist Guides, the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides and a member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding. Geoff is a qualified Parliament Guide and a Friend of the British Museum and Friend of the British Library.
As for hobbies – well, watching an unfashionable football club and wearing out shoe leather searching out new material in London.
