That’s Entertainment walks
4 October 2011 Comments Off on That’s Entertainment walksOn Saturday the 15th October, the four major local guiding organisations in London (Clerkenwell & Islington Guides Association, the City of London Guide Lecturers, the City of Westmister Guides Lecturers and the Greenwich Tour Guides) are laying on free walks – walks will last about an hour, and start at 10:00 in the morning, take place at least every hour, with the last walk leaving at 16:00. Footprints of London members are leading some of the walks in each of the four areas, along with many other qualified guides from the four guiding associations.
This is a great opportunity to sample walks in some of the most interesting areas of London. Most of the guiding associations also have a rota of regular walks – so visit their web sites to find out more. Some people try and do all four walks in the day which ought to be possible. And also watch out for news about new Footprints of London walks that also take place in each of the four areas.
The four walks being offered on Saturday are:
- Clerkenwell & Islington ‘Islington Entertains’ meet just outside Angel tube station
- City of London ‘Lights, Cameras, Action” meet outside Cafe Nero, St Paul’s tube station
- Greenwich ‘On Location in Greenwich’ meet outside the ‘Gate clock’ pub next to Cutty Sark (for Maritime Greenwich) DLR station
- Westminster ‘Stars of Stage and Screen’ walk meet outside Westminster Reference Library, 35 St Martin’s Street near Leicester Square tube station.
