Beating The Bounds
Beating The Bounds
27 January 2014 Comments Off on Beating The BoundsA listed building, in the United Kingdom, is a building that has been placed on the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest maintained by English Heritage.
Although most structures appearing on the lists are buildings, other structures such as monuments, sculptures, and even milestones and mileposts are listed.
Owners of listed buildings are, in some circumstances, compelled to repair and maintain them and can face criminal prosecution if they fail to do so.

They are ‘beating the bounds’ and this is a boundary post near the Tower of London.
