Entitled Watery London: a social history of the Thames and hidden waterways, the course involves using primary and secondary sources such as maps, photos and documents to analyse changes in the physical and social landscape. Details as follows
Wednesdays 15 April – 8 July 2.00 – 4.00 12 sessions
The Thames, the Tyburn, Fleet and the Walbrook are key to London’s development since earliest times. Using maps, historical and contemporary documents you will find out about the water that surrounds us even in our metropolitan environment.
