A guided walk around the site of the De Haviland aircraft factory in Hatfield, which features a few Art Deco buildings.

A guided walk around the site of the De Haviland aircraft factory in Hatfield. Geoffrey De Haviland’s amazing career spanned from the very first flights in the UK to the age of the jet airliner. The factory at Hatfield produced some of the most famous aircraft in British aviation history, and you will get to see the hangar where the famous Comet airliner was built, as well as the 1930’s art deco administration buildings. During World War Two a british double agent was given the task of destroying the factory for the Germans. Find out how the agent turned the tables on Geman intelligence. The walk finishes at the De Havilland Campus of Hertfordshire University and is three miles in total.
