Walking Tour – London Bridge to Tower Hill : The Edge of Treason
27 August 2026 No Comments on Walking Tour – London Bridge to Tower Hill : The Edge of TreasonVisit some of London's most iconic sites, and hear some its' most infamous stories from the past 700 years -not all imprisonment & execution
We start at London Bridge, walk along Queen’s Walk, cross the Thames at Tower Bridge before passing The Tower of London en route to Tower Hill – a place of execution of the nobility for nearly 400 years.
We will see and discuss some of London’s most iconic sites and sights – amongst them, but not limited to, London Bridge, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London.
Note, entry inside any ticketed attractions is not included within the walk, but we will discuss their history and events that happened there.
Given some of the sites we will visit, there will be plenty of treason, imprisonment, torture, and execution ; but, even for the sites most associated with treason, Tower of London & Tower Hill , we will cover a much broader range of subjects – including why The Tower fired George the Raven.
At other stops our discussion will include the history of London’s Larder, the Normandy Landings, Peasants Revolt in the 14th century, the City of London’s oldest church, and construction of Tower Bridge.
We finish the walk at Tower Hill Station, 5/10 minutes from the Tower of London – if you wish to visit The Tower after the walk, I recommend booking onto a morning walk to give yourself adequate time.
Be aware, there are steps and cobblestones en route – both can be slippery when wet, and cobblestones can be uneven. Please wear appropriate footwear.
Our meeting spot is the City of London Dragon Boundary Marker at London Bridge adjacent to 1 London Bridge & Queen’s Walk. Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the Walk.
The Walk should take 2 hours 30 minutes, but please allow for an extra 15 minutes
