On today’s walk we will venture through the streets and piazzas of Covent Garden to discover the story of a very special book of the 18th Century.

Mr Harris’s Book was a list that named the ladies who worked the streets of Georgian London – on this walk we will discover who they were and the buildings, theatres and taverns that they frequented in order to make a living.

We will also look back to the time of the Restoration – where characters such as Charles II, Nell Gwynne and Samuel Pepys helped to establish the streets around Covent Garden as one of the most fashionable and entertaining areas of London.
