Walking Tour – The End of the Line – Richmond

For many, Richmond is a town situated on some of the prettiest parts of the Thames. And today, as we walk along the riverbank we shall see why many of the rich and famous have their homes here.

But it is not just the present location of famous inhabitants – Richmond is steeped in history.

It has been the home to many historical figures as well. On this walk we will see the remains of the palace where Henry VIII and Elizabeth I died, as well as the magnificent Georgian mansions which were home to the famous.

We shall encounter London’s largest park and hear of the mysterious lass of Richmond Hill as well as the story behind the Maids of Honour row. We shall also visit the factory which produced all the poppies for Remembrance Sunday.

Finally, we will finish at place giving one of the most beautiful views of London.
