This is the big one – a climb up to Westerham Heights standing at 245 m above sea level – the highest point in Greater London

This walk is part of a series visiting the highest point in each London borough – this time the big one – Westerham Heights – the highest point in London Borough of Bromley, but also the highest point in Greater London.

Curiously , only the very last part of the walk is in Gtreater London – and we will be starting in the Surrey town of Oxted. We will skirt around the grounds of historic Titsey Place before a very steep climb up to Botley Hill on the North Downs before following the Pilgrim Way. After a refreshment break we will carry along part of the Pilgrim Way to the highest point in Kent before finishing back at Westeham Heights where a bus takes us back to Croydon

The walk is 5 miles in total. You may wish to bring sandwiches as there are no shops on the route.
