On this walk we\u2019re diving back into 2,000 years of history in a very historic area of London. It is an area which has attracted many different races throughout the millennia and they have brought their own stories with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will hear of the Romans and especially stories of an amazing Roman cemetery discovered in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moving forwards in time to the Middle-Ages and we will discover the story behind a medieval hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are also iconic churches in this area as well as some famous London markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And situated in this area is one of the most intriguing houses in the whole of London. It is a house which has been frozen in time for hundreds of years!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the centuries Spitalfields has attracted many peoples escaping from persecution. They include the Huguenots, Chinese, Jews and Bangladeshis to name but a few and we will hear their stories too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
