In the 1840s William Cubitt headed east to the Isle of Dogs. With notable achievements behind him, such as Covent Garden Market and Euston Station, he was to create something big – a whole community in an area of low-lying marshland.<\/p>\n

Please meet me outside Jack Dash House, on the corner of Lawn House Close and Marsh Wall, and explore Cubitt Town with me! The nearest station is South Quay DLR.<\/p>\n

We finish our tour approximately two hours later at Island Gardens, where you can enjoy one of London’s most important views.<\/p>\n
