Mark is a member of both the City of London Guides Lecturer’s Association<\/a>\u00a0and the City of Westminster Guide Lecturers Association <\/a>and is Chairman of Footprints of London.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have always been fascinated with urban development and the influences on the built environment, and where better to feed that fascination than London?<\/span><\/p>\n

So, after two years\u00a0of intensive study, I qualified as an Institute of Tourist Guiding accredited tour guide for the City of London and as a tour guide for the City of Westminster and now have the pleasure of sharing the delights of the greatest city in the world with everyone who comes on one of my guided walks.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, what should you expect on one of my walks<\/a>?<\/span><\/p>\n

A\u00a0quick read of my blog<\/a> should give you some idea of my style, but suffice to say I\u2019m not an\u00a0academic or\u00a0historian, nor\u00a0an actor filling in between jobs regurgitating someone else’s pre-prepared scripts.<\/span><\/p>\n

What I am is an enthusiast of the history of London.\u00a0 I research and write all my own walks and I\u00a0love\u00a0sharing the fascinating stories\u00a0that lurk\u00a0in\u00a0the city’s\u00a0past\u00a0and how they helped shape the\u00a0amazing city that\u00a0London is today.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u00a0aim\u00a0to share\u00a0these stories in\u00a0an informative, engaging, but above all entertaining<\/em>\u00a0way with\u00a0those who come on my guided walking tours.\u00a0\u00a0 These are not\u00a0street lectures; whilst you will always come away from one of my walks with a few choice nuggets of information to share with your friends, I\u00a0like above all to have fun on my walks.\u00a0 I hugely enjoy doing this and I want you to enjoy the experience just as much.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do I succeed?\u00a0 Well, I’ll leave that for others<\/a> to say!<\/span><\/p>\n
