Trevor is a Westminster Guide, in the process of building a catalogue of walks around many areas of central London that he knows well \u2013 either through close family history, or from working in London for more than 35 years throughout a career in the NHS.
\nHe loves London, he loves walking around London, he loves learning about London, and now, as a Qualified Guide, he has the skills and the experience to share that knowledge with you in an interesting, informative and enjoyable way.
\nLondon is Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey , and they are all fantastic, highly recommended, and all will be part of his future tours, but there are many more layers to London. It is a city with so much history, so many stories, so much of interest and intrigue \u2013 for a Tour Guide it is an absolute treasure trove, and he would like to share his knowledge of this incredible city with you.<\/p>\n

Trevor\u2019s Walks include:
\n\u2022 Chelsea \u2013 Family, Fame and Infamy:
\nAs the title suggests a very special for Trevor, not just because it\u2019s an area he came to regularly as a child to visit his grandparents, but he has also worked at the Royal Brompton Hospital since 2018. The Brompton is the final stop, and every stop is within 200 yards of the hospital.
\nDespite the compact geographical footprint, Trevor will demonstrate this is an area with a much more diverse social history than you might expect for affluent Chelsea, as well as introducing you to world famous novelists and musicians.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Borough and Bankside \u2013 From Bard to Brothels:
\nAn area with an incredible, and at times shocking, history shaped by its\u2019 proximity to both The City of London and London Bridge \u2013 which, for over 1700 years, was London\u2019s only bridge across the Thames. Borough is as old as Londinium, the Roman settlement that evolved into the City of London, and from there into London we know it today. Bankside had its\u2019 own jurisdiction for over 750 years, from which the area nurtured William Shakespeare & the modern-day theatre in London, but was also became London\u2019s centre for brothels, taverns, & bear baiting.
