{"id":7030,"date":"2019-11-29T21:37:45","date_gmt":"2019-11-29T21:37:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/footprintsoflondon.com\/?p=7030"},"modified":"2019-11-29T21:37:45","modified_gmt":"2019-11-29T21:37:45","slug":"an-advent-calendar-of-our-favourite-london-doors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/footprintsoflondon.com\/live\/2019\/11\/an-advent-calendar-of-our-favourite-london-doors\/","title":{"rendered":"An advent calendar of our favourite London doors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">December is upon us, so we thought it would be a nice idea to put our own spin on the tradition of the advent calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Advent calendars are all about doors, so in keeping with that doors theme, we asked our guides to come up with a selection of their favourite London doors and we will be sharing one with you on our blog every day between the <a href=\"http:\/\/footprintsoflondon.com\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/No-10-xmas-door.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7033 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/footprintsoflondon.com\/live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/No-10-xmas-door.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"278\" height=\"256\" \/><\/a>1st and 24th December.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The fun and excitement of the advent calendar we all remember from our childhood is the anticipation of what might be behind the door just as you open it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, rather than just describe them straight off, we&#8217;ll publish a little teaser pic with a clue to what\/where the door is and you can have a go at guessing it before the reveal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We won&#8217;t keep you in suspense for long, though, as a simple click on the teaser pic will reveal the full picture of the door and a little story behind it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Each door featured appears on one or more of our guides&#8217; tours, so we will also give you a link to those so you can go along yourself to find out more if you wish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Look out for the first of the posts on Sunday 1st December and have fun guessing!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December is upon us, so we thought it would be a nice idea to put our own spin on the tradition of the advent calendar.
