A big thanks to all who came on our Literary Footprints Festival events in October. Here are a few photos from the walks

Rob Smith Walking The Enemy

Rob followed the story of Charlie Higson’s book The Enemy. One of the scenes in the book takes place at this spot – next to some railings near the Regent’s Canal

The opening scene of The Enemy takes place in the car park of Waitrose in Holloway Road. One of the trolley pushing team was surprised to know a book was set in the car park. He then asked if he was depicted in it.

The epic journey from Holloway Road ends at Buckingham Palace, with only two people failing to make the whole walk - better rate than in the book The Enemy

Dave had this great comment from someone who came on the walk

“It always astounds me how much information you and your fellow guides have about our wonderful city and you were so good at making the place become even more alive.  Thank you again for giving us your time on a night that did not provide the best of weather.  One of my friends hopes to be able to join you as she was quite taken with how much I learnt and cannot wait to come on one of your tours if her schedule allows.”

There was a review of this event in Litro magazine http://www.litro.co.uk/2014/10/where-woolf-walked-virginia-woolf-her-life-her-loves-her-works-at-st-olave-hart-hall/

We also had this comment about the festival in general

“Wonderful walks with interesting people” I have been on such a variety of walks throughout October and enjoyed every one immensely. I would highly recommend you take a stroll that appeals to you. You will not be disappointed.

We will be holding Literary Footprints 2015 next October but we have plenty of Literary Themed walks before that – see our list here
